
ACB Conducts Surprise Raids at RTA Check-Posts and Sub-Registrar Offices Across Telangana
In a major crackdown on corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted surprise inspections on Thursday at various Road Transport Authority (RTA) check-posts and Sub-Registrar Offices across different districts in Telangana.
According to an official press release, multiple ACB teams carried out raids at the Salabatpur RTA check-post in Kamareddy district, and RTA offices located in Peddapalli, Trimulgherry, and Uppal. During the searches, officials seized unaccounted cash amounting to ₹1,81,030 and uncovered several administrative irregularities.
In a parallel operation, ACB officials also conducted sudden checks at the Sub-Registrar Offices in Burgampadu (erstwhile Khammam district) and Bheemdevarapalli (erstwhile Warangal district). These raids led to the recovery of an additional ₹91,000 in unaccounted money.
The ACB stated that detailed reports on the irregularities will be submitted to the state government for further action and departmental inquiry.
