Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that more than 200 American companies in sectors like IT, pharmaceuticals, defense, manufacturing, and aerospace are currently operating in Hyderabad. He emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen trade relations.

The Chief Minister presented Telangana’s ambitious goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2035 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He called for U.S. support in reaching this target, stating, “We believe Telangana can be a hub for innovation, technology, and investment with stronger collaboration from the U.S.”

He highlighted the success of the Telugu community in the U.S., noting that many students and professionals from Telangana are pursuing their aspirations. “The Telugu language is also growing rapidly in the U.S.,” he said, expressing pride in the cultural exchange between the two regions.

Mr. Reddy recalled that the groundwork for the U.S.-Telangana relationship was established during the tenure of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who oversaw the opening of the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister praised Consul General Jennifer Larson for her role as a “strong bridge” between the two areas.

Consul General Jennifer Larson stated that Hyderabad showcases the strength of the U.S.-India relationship through its innovation and collaboration. U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Jorgan Andrews added that the U.S.-India partnership is built on shared democratic values, mutual respect, and a commitment to global progress.
