NCERT rolls out new textbooks plan, outlines grades 1 to 11 changes under NEP 2020

The National Council of Educational Research and Training has outlined a phased rollout of new textbooks and syllabi aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023. Revised books for Grades 1 to 8 are now available, while Grade 9 textbooks will be introduced from the 2026–27 session. Existing books will continue for Grades 10 and 11 until 2027–28.
