The CBSE started with two editions of board exams for Class 10 from this year. Continuing a long-standing trend, female candidates outperformed their male counterparts in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 board examination results declared on Wednesday (April 15, 2026). The pass percentage for girls stood at 94.99%— 1.3 percentage points higher than the 92.69% recorded by boys.
South India continued to dominate the regional rankings, with Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada districts sharing the top spot with 99.79% pass rate, followed closely by Chennai (99.58%) and Bengaluru (98.91%).
